As DevOps has two-part, Dev + Ops and Ops is where AWS come into the picture. The code you are writing, you need an infrastructure to run that code(Lambda or Google Cloud Function is an exception but behind the scene, they are also setting up infrastructure). Infrastructure not limited to AWS it can be any cloud provider OpenStack or Azure.
